Dear Matt,
Good Morning,

An important aspect of our business is marketing.  I am always hearing about new ways of marketing my business.  Sometimes it is difficult to know if a certain approach is the best for my business and will help to give the results I am looking for.

Most marketing efforts as well as business practices center aroung the World Wide Web.

Our meeting this Thursday, June 24th will have both Rachel Meyer of the Better Business Bureau and Jim Mushinsky of Centsable Inspection making presentations on various business aspects to the web.

I hope that everyone will take the time to attend the meeting.

This is the time of year when we do our planning for our Annual Fall Conference that will take place on September 20 & 21 at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA.  I welcome any thoughts you might have on educational topics and speakers to have at the conference.

We had a good representation of exhibitors last year but I would like to receive input on new vendors to talk to and I am looking for volunteers to help me in soliciting vendors to exhibit.

I look forward to seeing everyone on June 24th !

Lisa Alajajian-Giroux

The next monthly membership meeting and educational program will take place on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at The Lantana in Randolph, MA. The meeting will start with registration at 4:30 followed by dinner and the membership meeting and educational program. The Board of Directors will hold their meeting from 3:30 to 4:30 that afternoon and all members are invited to attend.

After a facilitated roundtable discussion, we will kick-off our two-hour education program  which will examine two important topics related to the success of your home inspection business - The Role of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the use of the World Wide Web.  Rachel Meyer, public relations associate of the BBB, will provide an overview of the services offered by the bureau and discuss the Standards for Trust. Identify theft will also be a focus of Meyer's presentation. Next, we welcome chapter member, Jim Mushinsky. Jim is president of Centsable Inspection in Framingham and is also an educator and consultant. His presentation, World Wide Web and MA Home Inspectors will cover the guidelines from the Office of Consumer Affair and Business Regulations, web directory services, search engine optimization and electronic reporting. In addition to conducting home inspections, Mushinsky provides software to automate home inspection report writing and contracts.

    I
look forward to seeing you on Thursday, June 24th.
